Get those thumbs ready to leave a review using the Yelp Mobile App! I used the Lucky Streak Bus for a 4th of July getaway to Atlantic City. I booked four adult tickets on the lucky streak on the greyhound website. Part of the advertisements on the Lucky Streak website is that a ticket includes a $25 slot voucher for your destination casino. When I printed my tickets at the greyhound kiosk, it only spat out two vouchers. With little time to line up on the normal customer service line to ask about this issue, I proceeded to the bus gate. Given that it was a holiday, I was not surprised by how chaotic the gate was. Everyone lined up on a single line and so long as you had a ticket going to the right casino regardless of the departure time online casinos bovada, you were sent aboard. Having not ridden a long-haul bus for awhile, I was pleasantly surprised by the Lucky Streak. The bus was new and well kept. The seats were comfortable and had plenty of leg room. We had an enjoyable ride and quick ride to AC. Unfortunately, we could not say the same for our ride back where we were picked up by a random bus chartered by Greyhound. With my knees squished against seat in front of me, my mind drifted off to memories of riding a cramped Fung-wah bus. I would still consider taking the Lucky Streak again just because of the cost and convenience. I just hope that our charter bus was just a fluke. Example: There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it is nothing short of genius. Last night, I had one of those meals - the Mahi Mahi. But you'll never know that now. $36-38 RT fare from NYC to AC with $25 free slot play and free onboard wifi and electric outlets on most coaches. SOLD. I'm giving it 3.5 stars. If you need to go to AC from NYC and 1) don't have a car or 2) feel like running up the miles on your car or 3) feel like renting one and dealing with all the tolls are there free drinks in atlantic city, gas, traffic and driving blues in general then take the Lucky Streak Bus from Port Authority. You'll find the Greyhound ticket counter one level down from the main entrance to Port Authority on 8th avenue and 42nd street. The actual boarding gate is another level below the ticket counter at either 79 or 80. A few of us Yelpers were heading down to AC for the celebration of the suds and decided to take the bus. At the time of this review, there is no way to print your ticket on-line, it must be picked up at the ticketing machine at Port Authority after you swiped the credit card used to purchase them. If you can print your ticket online ahead of time, that would be awesome because you can save precious minutes before boarding to get some snacks for the long ride ahead. The actual trip is approximately 2.5 hours from NY to AC. They stop at a number of hotels and the bus terminal as well. The hotel stops include the major casinos on the strip such as Tropicana, Bally's and Showboat. If you happen to be staying at any of the stops, you're set or can always stay at a nearby hotel close to where the bus stops. Not all of the buses have wifi and electric outlets, so you have to check ahead on-line or at the terminal. The ones with wifi have far less seating that the older buses which is where you're getting the extra legroom. The overall ride is pretty smooth and the chairs can be reclined for added comfort. There is overhead lighting and air vents as well for each seat. It's a hit or miss with some of the drivers that you will encounter. For example, on the way to AC, the one driver barely gave any information other than saying the scripted part like no alcoholic beverages and loud talking on your cell phones free casino games without downloads, etc. but as far as the safety features of the bus there was no mention of it. The return trip play goldfish slot machine game online, the driver was very informative and mentioned important info such as safety features of the bus and also how to open the windows and the hatch in case of an emergency. I would definitely take this bus line again for a return visit to AC. Report inappropriate content I'm almost positive the schedule online is really not current, so you might want to give them a call if you need an exact time and location from the Port in NYC. Being in midtown online roulette bovada, I aim for the buses heading out of the City anywhere from 4-6 pm. I've always used Academy going to AC. The last trip I took, I "planned" on taking the 5:00 pm (Friday) bus to Caesars but it never showed up. (I ended up taking the 6:00 to Taj then taking the jitney to Caesars). While waiting on line at Port Authority, I heard customers say this had happened before and it seems like buses being late and/or not showing up is becoming a pattern lately. Anyway, I wonder how Greyhound Lucky streak compares. I've never taken it before and wonder if I'll be better off taking Greyhound. I've been getting more Fri & Sat comps and I would like to take advantage of them while they're offering them to me - although I cringe at the crazy resort fee lol. Any feedback is appreciated!! But, it's the exact same ticket you would get paying $35 at the window - 3-part ticket: outbound ticket; casino bonus coupon; and return ticket good for up to 4 days on any Academy bus. Thanks for all the info - I'll check out Academy. We are now thinking about taking one of the late night buses Tuesday night. Maybe the 11:30pm or 12:30am buses. Has anyone ever done the late night ones? How crowded are they? We have a broadway show for Tuesday night and thought we may just go back to the hotel to shower and change and then hit the bus. Figured we could get a couple hours of sleep on the bus and get there around 3:00am and gamble in a relatively quiet casino before everyone else shows up. What do you all think? #1. if you are able to plan ahead a bit and; UKstages: Good point about signing up for Academy's "President's Club. Over the past few years I've ended up getting 3 or 4 vouchers by using my card. i frequently buy tickets on megabus for the 11 AM academy departure to caesars and the hilton, so they do offer tickets before 12:30 (although the morning departures are often among the first to sell out at the discounted price). I've read about the Greyhound "Lucky Streak" buses out of Port Authority and am planning on using this. Planning on taking the 8:00am bus to Caesars on Wednesay. I was just planning on showing up 20 minutes or so before 8 to get my ticket and get on the bus. if you do pay full fare on academy, remember to join their "president's cub" and have your card swiped when you buy your ticket. you'll get a free trip after every ten full price trips. unfortunately, it takes three or four weeks to get your card and they will not apply retroactive credit for trips taken before your card arrives. Key: Expected times will be shown in red when a schedule is currently delayed by more than 15 minutes.
